EPA-approved solutions may help reduce bacteria and mold spores throughout the duct system.

Sealing

We check for and seal leaks so cleaned air stays cleaned, and your HVAC runs more efficiently.

Report

You get before-and-after photos plus a written digital report of everything we did.

Our Methodology

The DUCTS Negative-Air Method

Every air duct cleaning we perform follows the DUCTS Negative-Air Method, our name for a NADCA-standard source-removal process built around HEPA-filtered negative air. Instead of blowing dust around your home, we put the whole duct system under vacuum so debris moves in one direction only: out.

Seal the system and pull negative pressure

We seal every supply and return register, connect a HEPA-filtered negative air machine to the main trunk line, and place the entire duct system under negative pressure. Loosened debris can only travel one direction: toward the collection unit and out of your home.

Agitate every supply and return run

Rotary brushes and compressed-air whips travel through each supply and return run, one register at a time, to break embedded dust, pet hair, and construction debris free from the duct walls.

Remove debris at the source to NADCA standards

Debris is captured at the negative air machine, not pushed deeper into the system. Trunk lines, branch runs, registers, and the return side are all cleaned following NADCA source-removal practices.

Final camera inspection and sign-off

A camera inspection documents the condition of your ducts before we start and again when we finish. We walk you through what was found and what was removed.

Sanitize on request

If you want it, we fog the cleaned system with an EPA-approved antimicrobial solution to address bacteria and mold spores. This step is optional and is always discussed with you first.

The same method is used on every residential and commercial air duct job we take on across Birmingham and Central Alabama, by NADCA-trained technicians, every time.

FAQ

Air Duct Cleaning, Common Questions

How often should I clean my air ducts in Alabama?
Every 3–5 years for most Birmingham homes. Alabama’s humidity, pollen, and pet dander mean every 2–3 years is smarter if you have pets, smokers, or recent renovations. We’ll inspect and give an honest recommendation based on what we actually see.
How long does air duct cleaning take?
2–4 hours for most Birmingham-area homes, depending on system size and duct condition. We’re careful about your floors and furniture and clean up completely after every job.
Do you offer next-day service?
Yes, next-day appointments are our standard turnaround across Greater Birmingham. We also offer emergency service for urgent situations like post-flood mold discovery or tenant move-in prep.
What’s the difference between DIY and professional duct cleaning?
DIY (vacuuming vents, changing filters) only reaches the first few inches. Professional cleaning uses commercial HEPA negative-air machines and rotary agitation to clean the entire duct system, plus we sanitize and provide before/after documentation.
Can duct cleaning really remove mold?
Yes. We physically remove visible mold using professional-grade equipment, then apply EPA-approved sanitizers to kill remaining spores. For severe cases we identify the moisture source and recommend a remediation specialist, we won’t upsell you into work you don’t need.
Do you clean commercial and multi-family buildings?
Yes, restaurants, offices, apartment complexes, and multi-family properties across Central Alabama. See our commercial services page for details.
How much does air duct cleaning cost in Birmingham?
We use written estimates and next-day service based on the number of vents, system complexity, and any add-ons (sanitizing, mold treatment, dryer vent). Get a free quote in under a minute via the form above or call 205-908-8946 for an on-the-phone estimate.
Do you use portable or truck-mounted equipment?
Both. Truck-mounted HEPA units give us the highest suction for larger Birmingham homes and commercial systems. Portable units let us reach condos, apartments, and homes where truck access is tight. The negative-air pressure and rotary agitation approach is the same either way.
What is included in the duct inspection?
A walk-through of every register, camera inspection of a sample of supply and return runs, a look at your blower and evaporator coil, plus a photo record. You see the ducts before we start, so nothing about the recommendation is a black box.
Do I need to move furniture before the appointment?
No. We work around your furniture and put drop cloths under each vent we service. If a return needs a foot of clearance, we will shift things gently and put them back. You do not need to prep the house.
Is duct cleaning worth it in Alabama's humid climate?
Alabama humidity means dust, pollen, and pet dander stick to duct walls faster than in drier climates, and moisture can feed mildew if a system is running with a clogged coil or drain. A visual inspection is the honest answer, if the ducts are clean we will tell you and skip the job. If they are dirty, cleaning is worth it in Birmingham, Birmingham, Hoover, and every humid Central Alabama town in between.
